Staff of the Month:

Congrats to our Staff of the Month: Lesia Yarbrough. Lesia is the Principal’s Secretary for RMS and helps so many people in so many different ways. She received 6 nominations this year for Staff of the Month! If you stop by the Main Office at some point this month, make sure and congratulate her!

 BoFT

Just like homeowners need to replace roofs and air conditioners every 10 or 15 years, so do our schools. BPS101’s bond referendum on the Nov. 8 election ballot will enable the district to complete renovations and repairs at all of our schools, including replacing roofs, HVAC, piping, windows and doors, and address other operational maintenance needs.

Passage of the referendum will allow the BPS101 school board to issue school building bonds and generate funds for capital improvements without increasing the district’s bond and interest levy.  For more information visit www.bps101.net/boft.

Message from the Nurse:

As parents/guardians, we will all make decisions about whether or not to send our child to school if they have symptoms of an illness.  Our district has developed the guidelines for you to use while deciding whether your child should attend school or should stay home. You can find the guidelines here

Advisory

Our Advisory theme for the months of November and December is Curiosity. Students will learn more about themselves, what makes them unique in their Advisory community, set new goals for the 2nd quarter, and continue their career exploration through the Naviance platform. Ask your child how they can apply these skills at home and in the community!

Batavia Mothers Club

Batavia Mothers’ Club is hosting a trivia night on November 12th.  Please see this link for details.
