Information about Classes at RMS:

  • CORE classes (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Advisory) will run every day for the entire year.

  • Most exploratory classes are 9-weeks in length.

    • PE is a semester-long class unless blocked with Music or a world language class (causing alternating A/B days).

    • Performance Music (Band, Choir, Orchestra) and 8th-grade world language classes (Spanish, French) will alternate (A/B) for the course of the school year. These classes will be blocked with PE, so students will have PE on one day and music or world language on the next.

  • These courses are designated with an “A” or a “B” on the schedule you see in PowerSchool.

  • The first day of school is an “A” day, so students will attend that class on the first day. The second day of school is a “B” day, so students will attend that class on the second day. That pattern will continue for the entire school year.
