Emergency Closing Information
With the snow falling and temperatures dropping, we felt it was a good time to send a reminder about our emergency closing procedures. Please review emergency closing and e-learning information on our website.
Red Carpet Reads
The Red Carpet Reads Competition ends Dec. 19th. Keep encouraging your student to check out the books and fill out the forms.
Girls Flag Football
RMS Girls Flag Football is offering a FREE Girls Flag Football Skills & Drills Clinic at Rotolo Middle School on December 16–19 from 3:15–4:40 PM. This clinic will focus on skill-building and fundamentals (no scrimmaging). While we’d love for athletes to attend all four days, even one or two days is great!
This clinic is open to ALL RMS girls in grades 6th – 8th. You do not have to be a former GFF player to attend. Sign up here! We hope to see lots of new and familiar faces!
Nurse Visits
We’ve noticed that nurse visits have been increasing as the school year progresses. We want to remind teachers, students, and parents that students should visit the nurse only if they are experiencing one of the 7 B’s:
Bleeding, Breathing Bad, Broken, Barfing, Burning Up, Bee Sting, Big Bump
By following this guideline, we can ensure that the nurse is available for students who truly need medical attention and that classroom learning time is maximized. If your student reaches out to you not feeling well p[lease direct them to go to the nurse. All students that leave not feeling they well need to be evaluated. You can pick up your student from there. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe and healthy!
Get ready for the RMS Battle of the Books Trivia Night!
On Monday, February 23rd at 7 PM, teams will face off at the Batavia Public Library to see who knows the most about our 10 battle books. Think you’ve got what it takes? The team with the most correct answers takes home the win!
Grab 3–4 friends and sign up using the Google form.
