Don’t Miss It!

We’re thrilled to partner with Anderson’s Bookstore to support a winter book fair at Rotolo Middle School! This exciting event celebrates the magic of reading and supports our school’s reading community.

Date: February 4th, 5th, 6th

Time: 7:40 am-3:20 pm Monday-Thursday, 6:00pm-7:30pm on Wednesday

Location: Rotolo Middle School’s LRC

This is a perfect chance to discover a great selection of books for all ages and interests, as well as inspire a love of reading. Let’s make this book fair a success together!

SouperBowl of Caring

This February, help our schools,  as we participate in the “Souper Bowl of Caring” week February 3rd-February 7th.  From February 3 – February 7, we will be collecting ready-to-eat soup at our school to be donated to the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry.  See the attached flier for details.

Ski Trip for 7th and 8th Grade

The downhill ski trip has been scheduled for Alpine Valley Resort in Wisconsin. Students may ski or snowboard, and can bring their own equipment or rent. 7th and 8th graders only are allowed to join us for the trip. If you have never skied or snowboarded before, your student will be required to sign up and complete a lesson prior to using the lift ticket. Our trip will be on Saturday, February 8th. It will be an all day ski trip – we will leave at 7:00 am in the morning from RMS and will be back at 7:00 pm.  The form to sign up will be located on the Activities and Clubs Page of the RMS website and will be accessible on Monday, January 27th at 1:30 pm. The form must be filled out by a parent or guardian. This trip will be filled using a LOTTERY SYSTEM. If the form is not accepting responses, the lottery count is full. You will receive notice if your student made the trip by email and all payments will be required by Thursday, January 30th at 3pm to hold your student’s spot on the trip. Wait to hear from us by email before sending any money.

Bus Routes

We have had several students attempt to take home buses that are not their assigned routes. Students are not allowed to ride routes to which they are not assigned in PowerSchool. If you have specific questions about your student’s bus route, please contact the BPS101 Transportation Department at transportation@bps101.net.

Cold Weather

The cold weather this week was a good reminder that we need to be prepared for e-learning with little notice.  Please remind students to bring Chromebooks home and continue to check our website for information regarding any future school closing. As a reminder, here is our e-learning schedule.

Incoming 6th Grade Parent Night

We will be hosting a parent night for our incoming 6th grade parents only.  The event will be February 5th from 6:00-7:30 pm.  The event will be open house style with booths to help share information that parents need to have a better understanding of how RMS runs.  See the flyer for more details. We will also have Anderson Books here for a book fair that night!

Coffee with the Deans- February 5th 9AM

Join our deans, Mr. Arduino and Mrs. Smith to hear about all the ways they work with Rotolo students, families, and staff. Take home a “front of the line pass” for your child/ren to use in the cafeteria! Hope to see you there!
