Student Assessments
Your child will be participating in MAP (NWEA) testing on September 24th (Math) and 25th (Reading). Your child will also participate in the Panorama social emotional survey on September 19th. Please be sure your child comes to school with a fully charged Chromebook. These assessments are vital in helping us measure student progress, identify areas of strength and growth, and inform our instructional practices and social emotional student support.
On the district assessment webpage, you will find detailed information about the specific assessments your child will be taking this year, including when each assessment will be administered throughout the year and its objectives. You will also find the MAP Guide for Parents and the NWEA Family Toolkit here.
We appreciate your support in ensuring your child’s academic success. We encourage you to review the information on the district Assessment webpage and to reach out to your child’s school principal if you have any questions or concerns. Your involvement in your child’s education is crucial, and we are grateful for your support.

Meet the Deans
Did you know Rotolo has two Deans? Mr. Arduino and Mrs. Smith work with students daily in the hallways, cafeteria, classrooms, and office, making sure they understand and feel supported by our school expectations. (Strategic Plan Priority 2) Students can request to meet with the deans with concerns about safety-this includes on the bus, in the hallways, bathrooms, classrooms, and cafeteria- using the student services check in form. Mr. Arduino works with 6th graders and our special program classrooms and Mrs. Smith works with 7th and 8th graders. Both of them are happy to talk with your child about any of their middle school safety concerns. Additionally, if your child struggles to meet a school expectation, you may hear from our deans with communication about what they are struggling with and how they can work with you and your child on a path to middle school success!
