Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR)
We will once again be taking the Illinois Assessment for Readiness starting the week of March 16th. Students will need to come to school with a fully charged Chromebook and a set of plug-in headphones if they have them. Wireless headphones should work, but using plug-ins will help avoid connectivity issues.
The state uses this information to provide support and resources to the schools. All students will take the Math assessments on March 17th, 18th, and 19th and the Reading assessments on March 17th and 18th.
Batavia Women’s Club STEAM Camp Scholarship
Each year the Batavia Woman’s Club awards scholarships to middle school students in Batavia interested in attending an educational enrichment summer camp program that falls under the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) curriculum. The BWC fundraises each year to offer these scholarships, and they look forward to helping our students attend educational enrichment summer programs and camps. Applications are now being accepted, and the deadline for submission is Friday, April 17, 2026. There are a couple forms to fill out, including a recommendation letter from a teacher. Please let our students know about this wonderful opportunity.
