Thank you to everyone who made it to Coffee with the Principal on Wednesday. As a reminder, the event runs on the first Wednesday of the month from 9-10am. Here is the presentation from this week.
BHS Football Games
An important message regarding the Batavia Football Games was sent out this week. All elementary and middle school students are required to have a parent present at the game for the entire evening. Thank you for your cooperation.
Law Enforcement Drill

Construction at Raddant and Norcross
We would like to make you aware of construction starting next week. The construction activities will have the northbound lane of Raddant Rd from Norcross to Edwards blocked for 2-3 weeks starting September 9th. Construction on Norcross will be on the north side of the street beginning at Raddant and heading west. This construction is expected to last through November 2024, but most impactful through September and possibly the beginning of October.
We realize this will impact traffic patterns for the parents that drop off their students in the main circle-drive off Raddant and those that stage their vehicles along Norcross. We do not anticipate any disruptions on the west side of the school for bussing or any parent vehicles currently staging on Barkei Dr. We recommend students utilize different side walks/paths and alternative entrances to avoid this congestion.

Upcoming Athletic Events
As our athletics seasons get underway, we want to communicate our after-school policies for students. Students who are playing in games will stay in the building under the supervision of their coaches until the beginning of the game.
Any student who wishes to attend the game as a spectator may go home and return. The doors will open 15 minutes prior to the start of the game. Student spectators are expected to remain in the gym during games; they will not have access to their lockers or classrooms during athletic events. Students are expected to follow all handbook rules and expectations at all events. Failure to follow expectations could result in a loss of privilege to attend. At the end of games, players and spectators will be asked to leave the building and wait for their rides by the Athletics Entrance. Please plan to pick up your students immediately after the conclusion of games.
Wrestling
All experienced RMS/BWC Wrestlers are invited to attend open mat sessions supervised by the Batavia High School Boys and Girls’ Wrestling Coaching staff on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:45-4:45 PM. This open mat opportunity is free, however, parents are responsible for transportation. Please see our LIVE 2024-2025 PRE-SEASON/SEASON CALENDAR for scheduling details/updates.
RMS Football Fundraiser
Our Rotolo Football 7th and 8th grade teams are running a fundraiser to help make the season at RMS the best it can be. All money raised will go directly to team events and gear for our kids! Please consider donating to help our student-athletes.
