Rotolo Middle School

Important Dates

August 5th- Registration and locker move in day

August 6th- 6th Grade Welcome: information will be sent soon

August 14th- 1st day of school 8:00-3:00


RMS Locker Move-In Day

On Wednesday, August 5th, RMS students and parents will be able to come to school anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. for the following:

  • Locate locker assignment and practice combination
  • Purchase physical education uniforms if needed
  • Purchase yearbooks
  • Locate their classrooms throughout the building from their schedule
  • Have school picture taken

Locker Decorating Guidelines

Students are allowed to use the locker shelves and the magnetic pencil holders and mirrors.

  • Nothing battery operated can be put in a locker
  •  No LED lights 
  • No sticker wallpaper 
  • No stickers
  • Nothing that is permanently attached 

Picture Day

School Pictures will be taken in the East Gym from 9:00 -4:00 during Registration Day on August 5th. All students will have their picture taken for the yearbook and IDs. Lifetouch will email all parents in regards to ordering school photos.  For those unable to come to RMS on August 5th, the picture make-up day is scheduled for August 29 during the school day. 


Fall Athletic Registration

Fall athletics at Rotolo will be starting August 11. The following seasons are in session this fall: Boys and Girls Cross Country (6th, 7th, 8th grade) and Football (7th, 8th) and Girls Volleyball (7th, 8th). 

To participate in athletics at RMS, students must have a current physical on file. Physicals are good for 13 months. School Supplies

School supply lists for the 2025 school year can be found on the RMS website or by clicking the link here. There are no school supply kits offered for this school year. 


Rotolo Procedures

Please review our parent information guide here. These policies have been created to reduce disruptions to the educational environment, increase safety and allow for effective utilization of staff. 

Lunch Drop Off: Parent lunch drop offs from fast food establishments or restaurants are not allowed under any circumstances. If food is delivered it will be held until the end of the day and your student will be provided with a meal from the cafeteria. External delivery options such as UberEats, Grubhub and similar platforms are also prohibited. Thank you for your continued support in creating a positive secure learning environment for our students. 

Early Pick Up: We will not be accommodating any early dismissals for students after 2:40PM due to the limited staff availability to assist with student departures. Please arrange to pick up students prior to 2:40 if they need to leave before the end of the day.
