National Junior Honor Society

RMS is excited to announce that we will be continuing our National Junior Honor Society program with the induction of new students this Winter. NJHS began in 1929, eight years after the start of the National Honor Society organization, to recognize students who excel in middle schools around the nation based on the five pillars: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character, and Citizenship. All students are invited to fill out the student activity form and turn it in by Thursday, October 30th at the end of the school day (3:15 PM). To learn more about NJHS and find meeting dates, please see the parent letter and the NJHS Website. Once students are selected through the process of a faculty committee and inducted during the ceremony on January 13th, we will continue meeting until the end of the school year and pick up again in the Fall. Please contact julia.delacruz@bps101.net  with any questions or for additional information.

📚 Author Visit at Rotolo Middle School! 🎉

We’re thrilled to welcome Michael Leali, award-winning author of The Civil War of Amos Abernathy, The Truth About Triangles, and Matteo. Michael will be visiting Rotolo Middle School on November 21st to share his journey as a reader and writer, inspire our students to tell their own stories, and celebrate the power of literacy to create change.

Students will have the opportunity to meet the author, ask questions, and get books signed!
Leali’s books are available for purchase through MySchoolBucks—don’t miss the chance to own a personalized copy!
